New for 2026: We’re planning on stretching Sailfunks legs a little so how about getting your crew together and spending a night or two on board your very own luxury yacht moored in Dartmouth.

Set on the western bank of the River Dart this vibrant town is rapidly becoming a ‘must visit’ for those who enjoy good food, great pubs, live music and maritime history.

And what better way to arrive than at the helm of your very own luxury private yacht; passing St Petrox Church and the two fortified castles that protect the entrance to the Dart as you turn the corner the magnificent Brittania Naval College quickly comes into view forming a spectacular backdrop to both the town itself and the stunning harbour.

 Suggested Itinerary:  

Day 1:

Morning meet on Normandy pontoon; day sail from Salcombe to Dartmouth
Spend a relaxing late afternoon exploring Dartmouth and the river Dart; enjoy early doors drinks at The Dolphin or cocktails in Joe’s bar followed by supper sampling the culinary delights at the likes of Andria or The Seahorse
Overnight stay on board Sailfunk **

Day 2:

Coffee, bloody marys and breakfast at Alf Resco; lunchtime cruise up the river Dart to Dittisham
Afternoon sail back to Salcombe

Want to stay an extra night in Dartmouth?

No problem: take a trip up the Dart to visit Agatha Christies home and enjoy a long lunch at the ‘infamous’ Ferry Inn in Dittisham, take the steam train along the coast to Paignton or spend the day relaxing on the beach at Blackpool Sands. The choice is yours…

Or why not add an additional 24 hours to your charter allowing you to explore other harbours along the south-west coast…

Are you the competitive type? A large group? Tasked with organising a Company team building event?

We can partner our 51 ft sister vessel ‘Emma Claire’ (**) and cater for groups of up to 10 on the two yachts; race each other to Dartmouth, moor up alongside  and share ‘tall tales’ of crack crewing, prize giving and bragging rights!

As an alternative to Dartmouth we can head west from Salcombe to enjoy overnight stays in Fowey, Falmouth and Mylor.
